In recent wireless communication systems, high data rate transmission is
required for many services such as Internet data and video, high quality audio. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has many applications for high data transmission because of its several advantages as following: OFDM yields the high spectral efficiency because of the orthogonality between the overlapped adjacent frequency sub-channels and reduces the effects of intersymbol interference by making the block period much larger than the delay spread of the channel. Therefore, OFDM is an effective technique for mitigating the effects of the delay spread introduced by the wireless channel. In addition, OFDM systems can be implemented by using the Fast Fourier Transform technique to multiplex blocks of data symbols over sub-channels.
